film music / sound design stereo and surround vita Ralf was born in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1963. He started studying music at the tender age of five when he took part in the first Yamaha-Education-Method course new to Europe. When Ralf was just six years old he already began to compose and write down his own music. He then studied piano, trumpet, music theory, jazz composition and arranging. For many years Ralf worked as an arranger and orchestrator for artists, bands and orchestras. As a lead and solo trumpet player he played all styles of music from classical to jazz, live and in the studio. In 1985, at the age of twenty two, Ralf started up his own studio with an Atari computer and a Yamaha DX7-I and since 1998 he uses hard disk recording. 2007 and 2008 were years for postgraduate studies in film music composing and audio engineering.
